Join us on Sunday, November 15 for our Shoe Box Packing Party! This is a great event for the whole family! All are welcome!
As you may know Operation Christmas Child is an event sponsored by Samaritan's Purse. Each November, families, churches and civic groups around the country (and world) pack shoe boxes filled with wonderful gifts and then those shoe boxes are shipped to children around the world. The boxes are packed with things like hygiene items (soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, brush); school and art supplies (crayons, makers, pencils, paper, etc.); toys (stuffed animal, doll, ball, puzzle, jump rope), and the children who receive the gifts are overjoyed!
Since 1993 Samaritan's Purse has collected and delivered more than 120 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in over 150 countries. Last year we packed over 100 boxes! We are collecting items at church (donations are welcome anytime, but please drop them off before the 15th if you can).
So come on November 15th and be part of this wonderful experience. We will have a family worship service at 11:00 talking about the project and using items as object lessons for the kids. Then we will start packing around 12:00. We will have bagels and beverages too.

Also, on Saturday, November 14th at 6pm we are having our annual Thanksgiving Pot Luck Supper. All are welcome.
